Can Mirrors Create a Portal? ๐ช

Lets start here, we've all seen the movies where somebody steps through a mirror to enter another universe or is being haunted by some sort of demon that lives inside your bathroom mirror. The notion of using mirrors as portals has a long history in mythology, folklore, and pop culture.. but where did this idea come from?
The idea of mirrors as gateways to other realms appears in much mythology. In Greek mythology, Hades, the god of the underworld, is said to have been able to trap Persephone in his realm by showing her her own reflection in a pool of water. In another story, Narcissus fell in love with his own reflection in a pool and was unable to leave.
Throughout history, there have been many stories and legends about mirrors being used as portals, but, is it true?
Absolutely not, lol. ๐ซ
Facing two mirrors in a certain way or having multiple mirrors in the same room doesn't mean anything, so don't worry.. you're safe.
However, this doesn't mean a mirror can't be haunted! But, why would a mirror be haunted?
Energy is a beautiful thing and mirror's are a 'reflection' of past energies. You're more likely to experience activity on a used 70 year old mirror then a new store bought one.
So, pay attention to where your mirror is coming from (if you can), as even I use mirrors in my practice and wouldn't want someone to get ahold of them. You just never know someone's intentions!
Also know the idea of a demon being in your mirror is very, very unlikly and if so, its usually more of a energetic haunting or possible spirit unless the mirrors very old - vintage or has came from someone/somewhere with questionable intentions.
If you think you mirror may be haunted or just gives you the creeps, you can always cleanse and seal your mirrors. Covering them with a sheet or cloth can work too but I definitely recommend to cleanse and seal.
Know mirrors are actually very useful tools as they make a great tool for scrying plus using with spells on visualizing, reality, beauty, and of course bindings. So, fear not.. your mirrors will not create a portal but just be mindful of its age and its past.
